In my haste to send you all the earth-shattering news and photos yesterday, I somehow neglected to download the Make 'N Take photos. Here they are....... See you Saturday.

MORE PHOTOS
I just thought I'd share a couple of photos from our Plain Jane Book class last Saturday. Thirteen people worked very hard in the two classes to complete the first phase of their books. Top photo: the morning class constructing their spines. Bottom photo: Jane demonstrating the spine assembly.
Below are photos of the tulip cards from the upcoming stencil class. We will be using three different techniques: coloring flowers pasted in white, a piggy-back technique with a second stencil, and using translucent paste over the colored tulips. The class will be held on Saturday, March 22 at 10:30. The cost is $20 and you get to keep the tulip stencil. It's time to think spring!
It's that time of the month again - Make 'N Take! Below are the four cards we will be making on Saturday (March 1st). Drop by any time between 10 and 4 and make as many cards as you'd like. All the materials and supplies will be provided. The price is just $2 per card and there's no need to register in advance. We hope to see you then.

March Comes in Like a Lion
Hopefully the weather has calmed down a little bit and we can stop shoveling the white stuff and concentrate on the important things.... card making and scrapbooking. Here is our calendar for March. We hope you'll sign up for a class or two. We have a few photos to share now and will post more as soon as we have samples.
- March 4th - Using only one sheet of Graphic 45's Sweet Sentiments paper and some coordinating solid colors, you will make five beautiful vintage Easter cards.
- March 11th - We'll use some cute new spring and Easter stamps from Great Impressions (the "Stamp of the Month" people) to make three adorable cards
- March 18th - Inkie Antic has a new die which will make cards that remind you of a paper word game you probably played in high school. We don't have a photo since the die hasn't arrived yet, but we'll post pictures as soon as we can.
- March 22nd - Our stencil this month will help get us ready for spring with a trio of tulips. We'll use three different techniques to make these lovely cards. The class is only $20 and you get to keep the stencil.
- March 25th - Impression Obsession has released some really cute bunnies, Easter baskets, grass layers and eggs. We'll be making 3 cards with these dies.
Don"t forget to call the store (860-658-9023) to reserve a spot in any of these classes. We can take your credit card over the phone or you can send a check or drop in to pay. If you sign up and pay before the day of the class, you will receive a 10% discount on any purchases the day of the class.
We've been receiving boxes of freight every day. We've got two beautiful new lines of paper from Graphic 45 (Botanical Tea and By the Sea), some really cute stamps from DeNami, new papers from Basic Grey and BoBunny, and lots of new stamps from Northwoods. There's more coming in every day so stop in and see what you're missing.

Class Projects
It seems some of our photos never made it onto the blog. We had to send a few out by email when the blog was down and I'm sure some of you didn't get to see pictures from a few of the classes coming up. This Saturday is the stencil class and the cards are going to be a little different. We are featuring an elephant stencil and all three cards are done with NO PASTE! We are using a faux cross stitch technique on one card, a faux cloisonne technique on another, and ink and an embossing stencil on the third. There is still room in the class, so call now and make your reservation. The class is at 10:30 and the $20 fee includes the stencil.
The next two photos are of two of the cards we'll be doing in our glitter class on February 20th. The candles use clear glitter and Copic markers while the flower is done with several colors of glitter. There will be a third card, but it hasn't been born yet.

We will be holding a Pop-Up Class on Monday, February 24th. There will be two cards, one of which is still a surprise at this point (to all of us) but will be for St. Patrick's Day. The second card uses the NEW park bench die from Elizabeth Crafts and is stunning.
We hope to see you for one or more of these classes.

We're Back!
We finally have our blog back!! Who would have ever thought we'd be so dependent on technology to communicate with our customers. I know we've gotten quite a few emails and phone calls asking where we were and what was going on. Our many, many, heartfelt thanks to our two heroes (I won't name names because I don't think they're hiring out their services.) for putting us back online.
The schedule for February:
The schedule for February:
On Monday, February 10, we are doing a beautiful accordion album called "Love is in the Air."
Although the class will be in plenty of time for Valentine's Day, this book would also be an ideal gift for a wedding or anniversary.
On Saturday, February 15th, our stencil class will feature a cute elephant design and will be totally pasteless. That's right, there will be no paste involved this month, just three different techniques including faux cloisonne and faux cross-stitch.
We have a Glitter Card Class on Thursday, February 20, and although the cards haven't been designed yet, those of you who have seen our glitter cards before know how beautiful they are. The class is sure to include glitter, peel-offs, and Shimmer Sheetz by Elizabeth Craft Designs.
On Saturday, February 22, Jane Jones will be teaching the first of a series of three classes for the purpose of building a complete book using the "hidden hinge" system. The book is absolutely breathtaking! Unfortunately, the class has been filled already by customers who saw her book in the store and wanted to make it. It looks like we may be able to talk Jane into doing another series soon featuring a different paper selection.
Monday, February 24 is our Springtime Pop-Ups Class. You will make two cards using the new Pop-It-Up dies from Elizabeth Craft. Here is a picture of one of the cards in the Park Bench design.. The other hasn't been born yet but will feature a Saint Patrick's Day design.
We have also begun to receive boxes and boxes of merchandise that we ordered when we went to California. Here are just a few of the new items gracing our shelves.
These are sample cards made using some of the new Easter stamps we got from Northwoods.
These are two collections of new papers we've received from BoBunny. The top line features really cute dog and cat papers, and the bottom line is a great collection of pinks in butterflies, flowers, and geometrics. Stop in and see all the new merchandise!
