April 9th - Stamping on Black

Have you ever wondered how you can stamp on black or dark colored papers?  And if you do manage to stamp, how do you color it?  We'll be making three beautiful cards by stamping and coloring on black.  Join us and learn these easy techniques. April 13th - Stencil Class

We're showcasing a rose stencil this month and using three different stenciling techniques to make three gorgeous cards. Whether you've never stenciled before or you just want to pick up a new twist or two, you'll love this class.  If you have a stenciling palette knife, please bring it with you.  Class time is 10:30 am.  The cost is $20 and you get to keep the stencil.

April 24th - Double Page Scrapbook Layout

Here's a peek at our April scrapbook layout.  It features the Secret Garden papers from Graphic 45 and has a floral, Victorian feel to it.  The class is at 2:00 and the cost is $15.  Call and sign up if you're interested.

April Schedule

Here's our new schedule for April with a couple of classes you haven't seen before, or at least in a long time.
We have a class on the 9th called "Stamping on Black," one on the 16th for making "Magic Cards," and on the 25th we'll be making watercolor cards using Art Impressions stamps and techniques.

As soon as my phone decides to cooperate (it has for some reason decided not to send pictures of the samples), I will post pictures of samples for some of the classes.

Don't Forget

Don't forget our Tag Sale next Saturday (March 23).  At this point, we have over twenty customers who are bringing in their gently used stamps and punches, extra paper, and other goodies they aren't using.  This is your chance to get bargains galore.  Prices are rock bottom.  Come check out the sale and maybe even pick up a Memory Box die or two while you're here.  Stop in between 10 and 4.  We'll see you then.

March Classes

Below are the three cards we'll be doing in our March stencil class.  We'll be using three different techniques with the Dreamweaver umbrella stencil.  The cards are really cute!  Come join us on Saturday, March 16 at 10:30.  Cost of the class is $20 and you get to keep the stencil.

Our March Glitter class features several different glitter techniques using double-sided sticky paper, shimmer sheets, microfine glitter, peel-offs, and even a couple of die cuts.  Join us on March 21 at 10:30 am or 6:30 pm.  Cost is $15.

This month's double page scrapbook layout welcomes spring with a kite theme.  Come in and make your spring layout on March 20 at 2:00.  The cost is $15 and all materials will be supplied.  Just bring your scissors and tape or adhesive.  Call now to sign up for any of our classes.

We got some new products in from Lifestyle Crafts!  We have a variety of new embossing folders, nesting dies, and decorative adhesive sheets.  We also have the Quick Sticks back.  They're great for picking up small objects like pearls and gems or even small pieces of paper. Stop in to see the new merchandise.

Class Samples

Come join us on Saturday March 2nd for Make-n-take.  We will have four cards set up ready for you to make.  All of the papers are pre-cut and all of your supplies are provided.  You can drop in anytime between 10 am and 4 pm and make one card or as many as you'd like for a cost of $2 per card.  Below is a photo of the four cards we will be making this month.

On March 7th we will be making three cards using some of the latest releases from the Lockhart Stamp Co. Join us at either 10:30 am or 6:30 pm to make a unique flamingo, three sailboats, and a gardening scene.  Cost of the class is $15.

On March 12th you can join us for the Tri-Fold and Watercolor Card Class.  We will be using the new Art Impressions tri-fold card kits to create beautiful cut-away cards.  One of the cards will incorporate colored pencil techniques while the other will be done on watercolor paper using Art Impressions' watercolor stamping technique.  Classes are at 10:30 am and 6:30 pm and the cost is $15.  Call today to sign up.

MARCH SCHEDULE

Even though it doesn't look like it, spring is definitely on its way.  Below is our new schedule of classes for March. 

  

We're offering some of your old favorites as well as a few new classes.  On the 7th, we'll be making three  cards using newly released stamps from Lockhart.  The look is fresh, and we'll be using patterned papers in parts of our stamped designs.  On March 12th, we'll be using the Art Impressions Cottage Try-Fold set to make two really cute cut-away cards. On one we'll be blending with colored pencils and the other we will be doing the Art Impressions watercolor technique using markers with stamps on watercolor paper.  Believe me, once you try it you won't want to stop.  

We're having our third annual Tag Sale on Saturday, March 23. Now's the time to clean out those drawers and closets and collect all of the gently used stamps, papers, punches, and other supplies you're no longer interested in.  Bring them in priced to sell, and all of your sales will earn you store credit so you can get some new and exciting replacements.  You can also shop the tag sale to get some real bargains!  Prices must be in whole dollar amounts. You can price items individually or try several stamps in a bag for one price.  Call the store to get your personal ID number which must be placed on each price tag.  Items can be dropped off from Wednesday, March 20 through Friday, March 22.  You do not need to be present for the sale, but any unsold items can either be reclaimed by Wednesday, March 27 or we will donate them to local programs and charities. Our first two tag sales were HUGE successes.  Space is limited, so reserve yours early.

New Merchandise and Class Samples

We have just received the latest papers from Graphic 45.  The French Country line features some lovely sunflowers, roosters, and coordinating scenes.

Spring has sprung with the arrival of the Secret Garden line.  There are some beautiful floral designs in a delightfully "springy" palette.

We also have the samples from the upcoming glitter class for your viewing pleasure.  They feature an orchid done using three different techniques and working with peel-offs and micro-fine glitter.  The class is on Tuesday, February 26, at 10:30 am and 6:30 pm.  The cost is $15.  Call now to sign up.
