May's Schedule

Here - drum roll please - is the calendar for May's classes.  Along with the Stencil Class, Copic Class, and Open Crop that you've come to expect, we have a few new options for your card-making enjoyment.  On May 7th  we will be making three really cute cards from the new Great Impressions release.  These are the stamps we used to call "Stamp of the Month," but since they've changed the program we don't receive them monthly anymore.  

On May 16, there's "Clorox - It's Not Just for Laundry Anymore."  You'll be doing some amazing designs by embossing and then brushing on bleach to change the color in your image. 

The May 21st class is "Cards in Motion."  Learn to make flip cards, waterfall cards, and cards with images that roll.  

Our "Inky Antics" class on May 30th features some really cute cards with a summer theme that will let you practice your coloring techniques.  Look for pictures of all of our samples as they become available.

SAVE THE DATE - 

On Wednesday, June 5, we will be offering a class by guest instructor and owner of Elizabeth Crafts, 

Els van de Burgt.  She will be using her line of glitters and shimmer sheets.  We do not have a lot of details yet, but as soon as we know time, location and cost, we will post it here.

More Samples

Hopefully some of you will be able to join us for the Magic Card class on Tuesday, April 16.  The class is at 10:30 am or 6:30 pm and the cost is $15.  These pictures show each of the two cards when closed and also each card when open.  That's where the magic comes in!

On Thursday, April 25, we will be making two beautiful watercolor cards using the Art Impressions technique involving water-based markers and a paintbrush.  It's easy to do and when you're done the cards  look like masterpieces!  Classes are again at 10:30 and 6:30 and the cost is $15.

MAKE 'N TAKE SATURDAY

Here's a scene from our recent tag sale.  We were quite busy! Many people left here with tremendous bargains, quite a few left with store credit for selling no longer used items, and there are some very deserving children who will benefit from their art teachers receiving your donated items.  Thanks to everyone who participated.  A good time was had by all.

Join us anytime between 10 and 4.  Make one card, a hundred, or anywhere in between.  All materials will be provided (although you're welcome to bring your own tape if you prefer it to glue sticks) and the cost is just $2 per card.

As you can see, we've gotten the camera to cooperate with the computer, so it's time to post some photos of our class samples.  Hopefully we'll be seeing lots of you tomorrow (Saturday, March 23) at our tag sale.  We have some great bargains coming in!!

April 9th - Stamping on Black

Have you ever wondered how you can stamp on black or dark colored papers?  And if you do manage to stamp, how do you color it?  We'll be making three beautiful cards by stamping and coloring on black.  Join us and learn these easy techniques. April 13th - Stencil Class

We're showcasing a rose stencil this month and using three different stenciling techniques to make three gorgeous cards. Whether you've never stenciled before or you just want to pick up a new twist or two, you'll love this class.  If you have a stenciling palette knife, please bring it with you.  Class time is 10:30 am.  The cost is $20 and you get to keep the stencil.

April 24th - Double Page Scrapbook Layout

Here's a peek at our April scrapbook layout.  It features the Secret Garden papers from Graphic 45 and has a floral, Victorian feel to it.  The class is at 2:00 and the cost is $15.  Call and sign up if you're interested.

Here's our new schedule for April with a couple of classes you haven't seen before, or at least in a long time.
We have a class on the 9th called "Stamping on Black," one on the 16th for making "Magic Cards," and on the 25th we'll be making watercolor cards using Art Impressions stamps and techniques.

As soon as my phone decides to cooperate (it has for some reason decided not to send pictures of the samples), I will post pictures of samples for some of the classes.

March Classes

Below are the three cards we'll be doing in our March stencil class.  We'll be using three different techniques with the Dreamweaver umbrella stencil.  The cards are really cute!  Come join us on Saturday, March 16 at 10:30.  Cost of the class is $20 and you get to keep the stencil.

Our March Glitter class features several different glitter techniques using double-sided sticky paper, shimmer sheets, microfine glitter, peel-offs, and even a couple of die cuts.  Join us on March 21 at 10:30 am or 6:30 pm.  Cost is $15.

This month's double page scrapbook layout welcomes spring with a kite theme.  Come in and make your spring layout on March 20 at 2:00.  The cost is $15 and all materials will be supplied.  Just bring your scissors and tape or adhesive.  Call now to sign up for any of our classes.

We got some new products in from Lifestyle Crafts!  We have a variety of new embossing folders, nesting dies, and decorative adhesive sheets.  We also have the Quick Sticks back.  They're great for picking up small objects like pearls and gems or even small pieces of paper.
